Story: Meeting Aven (2)
I bet you probably have a friend who isn’t local anymore, just far enough away that you need to plan your visits. Or maybe you have a friend who only has so many spoons to spend on visits, so you have to keep it short and focus on one thing together.
Aven is both, and it’s not a big deal; it just mean we have a lot of shorter visits, which makes our stories a bunch of little adventures rather than one big adventure.
I personally love it; big adventures are kinda cliche.
Story: Meeting Aven (1)
I was a Literature major at Brackett College in the Pacific Northwest; I had hoped to get an MFA in poetry. That was decades ago.
I’m still a senior at Brackett, still a Lit major, still planning to get my MFA. It’s just that each of my summer breaks was six years long.
Here’s the fun part, though: technically, I’m still 21. All those years elsewhere, and my body aged as if it were here instead.
I’m getting ahead of myself. First I need to tell you about Aven.
Hey, I’m Neva. I’m not real; I’m a fictional character. I’m going to post as a way of helping my creator figure out how to tell my stories. I’ve seen a lot in the last year (or 24 years, depending on how you count), and I can’t wait to tell you all about it!
You can go ahead and follow me if you wanna hear me try and tell my story. I won’t follow back, though; I hope that’s okay.
